Case Study
You can’t see your website the way three audiences do. We built a free check that shows you.
People, search engines, and AI assistants each size up your website differently — and most owners can’t see what they find. Trailhead is our free, 60-second, external check that scores all three in plain English. We even graded our own website in public: it scored 72 — and we took it to 91, in the open.
The problem no one warned you about
For twenty years, “is my website any good?” mostly meant one thing: can people find me on Google? That question hasn’t gone away — but two more have quietly joined it, and together they now decide whether a small business gets discovered at all.
Today, three different audiences look at your website, and each reads it in a completely different language:
- People decide, in seconds, whether your site looks trustworthy enough to do business with.
- Search engines decide whether to show you when someone searches for what you do.
- AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, with Apple Intelligence opening the same door — decide whether to recommend you by name when someone asks them for a business like yours.
That third one is new, and it’s moving fast. More and more people don’t search and scroll anymore — they ask an assistant and act on the answer. If the assistant can’t understand your site, you’re simply not on the list. You never see it happen. There’s no “you just lost this customer” notification.
Most small businesses are invisible to these assistants and have no idea — not because their business is worse, but because their website speaks the wrong language to a reader that didn’t exist a few years ago.
Three shields
We built the Trailhead check to make the invisible visible. It looks at your site the way each audience does, and scores it across three “shields”:
- Defend — Your site can’t be exploited and your email can’t be spoofed. The trust layer: valid security, no leaks, email that can’t be forged in your name.
- Discover — Google and social platforms find the right page when they look. The findability layer: clean structure, the right signals, no dead ends.
- Recommend — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity cite you when answering relevant questions, and Apple Intelligence is opening the same door. The new layer: whether an AI can actually read, understand, and vouch for you.
You get one score from 0 to 100, a rating for each shield, and — the part that matters — plain-English notes on what to fix first. No dashboards to learn. No jargon to decode.

We ran it on ourselves first
Here’s the uncomfortable part, and the reason we’re publishing this.
Before we put Trailhead in front of a single client, we pointed it at our own website, anveshi.ai. It came back 72 out of 100 — “Gaps.”
That stung a little. We’re the people who do this for a living. But it was exactly the point: the check found real, specific things. Our site wasn’t giving AI assistants a clean way to understand us. A couple of security niceties were missing. Our email wasn’t as spoof-proof as it should be.
So we fixed them, in the open. We added the files that let AI assistants read us properly, tightened our security, cleaned up our email authentication, and closed the gaps in how our pages describe themselves. We re-ran the check after each change.
72 → 86 → 91. Our own site is now “Iron-clad.”

Every agency in the world will score your website and hand you a list. Almost none of them will show you their own score. We think that’s backwards. If we’re going to measure your digital foundation, you should be able to see ours.
What you actually get
- A real score, 0–100, across the three shields — the same report we put in front of paying clients.
- Plain-English reads on each shield: what’s working, what isn’t, and what to fix first.
- No login. No access to your site’s insides. Nothing installed. It’s an external check — exactly what a stranger, a search engine, or an AI assistant sees from the outside.
- It takes under a minute.
